Recently, one such facility partnered with Brown’s Medical Imaging to install a new X-ray room — the first of two planned RAD systems — to improve efficiency, accessibility, and patient care.
The new system features a table accessible from the floor level, making it easier for orthopedic patients and others with mobility challenges to get on and off without difficulty. This simple design upgrade makes exams more comfortable and reduces the risk of injury during positioning.
Previously, the hospital operated with one combined control room. Now, they have two dedicated control rooms, allowing technologists to work more efficiently and reducing patient wait times. In the emergency department, the improved workflow means patients can be moved through the imaging process more quickly — a critical factor when every second counts.
The upgrade also benefits the entire community by reducing radiation exposure and increasing throughput, ensuring more patients can be seen without compromising care.
