Positioning Steps
Roll the patient onto their affected side.
Flex the knee 20–30 degrees.
Apply a 5–7° cephalic tube angle to achieve true condylar superimposition.
Why the Tube Angle Matters
The medial femoral condyle extends slightly more distally than the lateral condyle. The cephalic angle compensates for this difference, ensuring accurate lateral alignment.
