  • Mid-Sagittal Plane (MSP): Parallel to the IR.

  • Infraorbitomeatal Line (IOML): Parallel to the IR.

  • Proper positioning results in superimposed orbital plates and superimposed rami of the mandible.

Identifying Positioning Errors

  • Two orbital plates visible: Indicates tilt.

  • Two rami visible: Indicates rotation.
