Behind the Scenes: How We Recondition Medical Imaging Equipment

At Brown’s Medical Imaging, our goal is to provide customers with equipment that performs like new — whether it’s fresh from the factory or expertly reconditioned. Right now, our team is hard at work on a complete top-to-bottom refresh for a CT scanner, ensuring it’s ready to deliver years of dependable service.

From Covers Off to Like-New Condition

The reconditioning process starts by stripping the system down to its core. All external covers are removed and sent to our body and paint area. Our engineers then perform detailed cleaning, safety checks, and functional testing to certify the system before it leaves our facility.

Sometimes, during installation, covers need to be removed to navigate tight doorways or challenging spaces. That’s why it’s important to ensure the inside of the system looks just as pristine as the outside. When a customer invests in reconditioned equipment, they should expect it to be spotless inside and out.

Attention to Every Detail

Every component is carefully inspected. Cables are cleaned, coiled neatly, and organized so that when the system is reassembled, it looks and feels like it just came from the factory.

Value Without Compromise

Many reconditioned systems can deliver the same capabilities as newer models, but at a lower cost — allowing facilities to maximize their investment without sacrificing performance. By offering both new and reconditioned options, we help customers choose the solution that best meets their needs.
